sev poori,dabeli,pani poori recipe.

 What happens when you hear the word chaat? your mouth starts watering.doesnt it? . Chaats have been the main attraction in the city where i lived in, I have this nostalgic feeling of ladies going out for their evening grocery shopping and the panipoori wala is so busy serving these ladies his tasty preparation.The wonderful smell of panipoori while passing through  the chat corner makes your mouth water and drags your feet towards it.To compensate my cravings for the chaats i decided to prepare these mouthwatering delicacies.

Ingredients for dabeli

 5 medium sized boiled and mashed potatoes.

dabeli masala

peanuts

butter 1 tablespoon

pav or dinner rolls

pomegranate

dabeli masala 6 table spoon (readily available in any Indian grocery)

sev(readily available in any Indian grocery store)

salt as per the taste.

sugar as per the taste.

cheese (optional)

Method

Step1: Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a pan

Step2:Add peanuts.

Step3:add dabeli masala and cook for a while(till the oil seperates from masala)

Step4:add mashed potatoes ,salt,suar,pomegranate and mix the mixture well.

Step5:cook the mixture for 5 minutes

Meanwhile take another pan and heat it,add butter and cook the pav.
add the prepared mixture,sev,cheese(optional) and close it with another pav on top of it. mouthwatering dabeli is ready.

Ingredients for panipuri

poori(readily available in any indian grocery store)

for paani:

1 teaspoonAam choor powder

6-7 lemon
Salt (as per taste)

sanchsr (1 teaspoon)

pepper(1teaspoon)

chilli powder(1 teaspoon)

cumin powder(1 tablespoon)

Ginger 1 inch

Sunth 1 teaspoon

Chilli 8-9 according to taste

cilantro 2 bunch

mint 1 bunch

water 6-8 cups.

Method:

Step1:make the paste of mint,chilli and cilantro.

Step2:incorporate other remaining ingredients to the paste.

Step3:Add 6-8 cups of water to the mixture.




Ingredients For masala:

5 medium sized potatoes

2 cups of kala desi chana or garbanzo beans

chaat masala

salt (as per taste)

Method:
Step1: mash potatoes and garbanzo beans ,add chat masala and salt to the mixture.


For sev poori:
Ingredients:

sev( readily available in any Indian grocery store)

poori(readily available in any Indian grocery store)

kala chana

1 tomato


For sweet chutney:
aamchur powder 1 tablespoon

chilli powder

jaggery

coriander powder.

1 cup water

Method for making chutney:

Heat water in a vessel ,add jaggery,aamchur,chillipowder,coriander powder and cook for 5 minutes.let it cool down in fridge for 15 minutes.

Ingredients for making green chutney

half bunch mint

1 bunch cilantro

half cup peanuts

1 teaspoon chilli powder

half inch ginger

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 lemon

Method for making greenchutney:

Take all the ingredients in a blender and blend it to a fine paste.



Method for making sev poori:

Take several poories in a dish spread onions,curd,green chutney,sweet
chutney,potatoes,chana,sev,chaatmasala on top of it and enjoy the dish.
